Student Expenses and Financial Aid

All students are strongly urged to plan on staying for the duration of the School. Partial attendance is strongly discouraged. Small exceptions can be made in special cases but must be cleared with the Director, Leo Radzihovsky, right away; a simple email request, explaining the situation is sufficient. Attendance for less than 3 weeks is not permitted as the spot can be more efficiently utilized by another student attending the entire school.  In accepting  your admission, you are agreeing to follow this School policy.

The summer school will pay for most local expenses so the total cost to students will be relatively small.

Each accepted student must pay a registration fee of $400. This is required to cover some expenses which the NSF grant is not allowed to cover. Registration fees are nonrefundable within 1 month of the start of the School. The fee may be paid online.

Dormitory rooms will be provided free of charge by the school. The default is a double-occupancy room, however a limited number of single rooms will be available. Please specify your choice of single or double room in the application.

Weekday meals will be provided by the school. However, no meals will be provided on the weekends. Students must pay for weekend meals themselves.

Travel support, not to exceed $500, is available for students who are graduate students or postdocs at US universities. Students and postdocs attending universities outside the US must supply their own airfare. There will be no travel support for shorter attendance.
