Eun-Ah Kim
eun-ah.kim@cornell.edu

I am a theorist. My research focuses on emergent electronic properties of quantum correlated materials. The uncertainty  principle means no solution can simultaneously minimize single  particle kinetic energy and inter-particle interaction energy. It  further means many-electron wave functions are loaded with  complexity of statistical phase. These issues obstruct a single  sweep numerical solution. My approach is to crack into the  secrets of emergent phenomena from attacking the problem from  multiple angles combining analytical theory with numerical  simulations. My research is often grounded or guided by  experimental developments and my goal would often be to make a  falsifiable prediction as a test of my theoretical understanding.
