Student Expenses and Financial Aid

The summer school will pay for most local expenses so the total cost to students will be relatively small.

Each accepted student must pay a registration fee of $200. This is required to cover some expenses which the NSF grant is not allowed to cover. Registration fees are nonrefundable within 1 month of the start of the School. The fee may be paid by check or credit card.

Dormitory rooms will be provided free of charge by the school. The default is a double-occupancy room, however a limited number of single rooms will be available at an additional cost which we estimate will be between $25 and $30 per day. Please specify your choice of single or double room in the application.

Weekday meals will be provided by the school. However, no meals will be provided on the weekends. Students must pay for weekend meals themselves.

For students who are graduate students or postdocs at US universities, the school will reimburse travel expenses (economy airfare) up to a maximum of $500. Students and postdocs attending universities outside the US must supply their own airfare.
